Mangaluru: Vehicular movement allowed on Shiradi Ghat only during day

Mangaluru, Jul 23: The road repair work of Shiradi Ghat on National Highway 75 near Donigal in Sakleshpur taluk of Chikkamagaluru district has been completed and vehicular movements for light vehicles is now permitted during day. But, traffic movement for heavy vehicles has been restricted on from July 23 to till further order.

Due to incessant rain, landslides occurred on Thursday July 22. But, the district administration allowed light vehicles on this road with certain conditions. The vehicles will be allowed only from 6 am to 6 pm. Vehicles like cars, jeeps, two-wheelers, mini tempos, busses are allowed.

Vehicles like tankers, containers, Rajahamsa and Airavata buses are restricted.
