Kundapur: Registration for Manipal health card begins

Kundapur, Jul 23: “Manipal health card scheme has completed 20 years. The new health card has special services with the motto great value for the family and reliable service. The membership process for the card for 2021 has begun. One can be a member by paying a small amount,” said Kasturba hospital assistant manager Krishna Prasad.

Speaking in a press conference here he said that the annual charge for individual membership is Rs 300. Rs 600 for family plus card includes the individual, partner and children below 25 years of the card holder, Rs 750 family plus card includes himself, his partner, children below 25 years of age, parents and parents in law. The charges for the two year plan will be Rs 500 for the individual card, Rs 800 for family and Rs 950 for family plus plan.

People holding the card obtain 50% discount in outpatient consultation with expert doctors and super specialist doctors, 30% discount in lab charges, 25% discount at in patient ward except items used as in patient.

There will be 20% discount in MRI, Ultrasound as outpatient and foot examination for diabetic patients and 12% discount in medicines. Covid patients will be getting a 10% discount on the charges approved by the government.

The programme was set in motion after handing over the card by Manipal Kasturba hospital senior manager K Sachin Karanth to Kundapur taluk working journalist association president Shashidhar Hemmadi. St Milagres Sauharda cooperative’s Johnson was present.
