Mangaluru: Students of university evening college clean Sasihithlu beach shore

Mangaluru, Jul 22: It the prime duty of every citizen to protect the environment around us. Ashish and Shishir, students of the university evening college in the city, gave this lesson to the society by cleaning the beach at Sasihithlu near Bhagavathi Temple, which was filled with heaps of garbage.

Both the youths cleaned the beach from 8 am to 2 pm. Subhashini Srivatsa, principal of the college and all the lecturers, have expressed appreciation for the work done by the students of their college.

Ashish is the son of Devadas Bangera and Jayanti couple, residents of Pakshikere. Shishir is the sone of Laxman Shetty and Sowmya Latha couple, residents of Haleangadi.

The garbage that was picked by the youths was taken to dumping yard by using the vehicle of local gram panchayat.
