Panaji, Jul 15: Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao slammed the AAP government in Delhi and the union government for demolishing the Little Flower Church at Faridabad.

"Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal declares he loves Goa a day after his government demolishes a church in Delhi. This proves that AAP is the B-team of BJP," Alemao said, lashing out at AAP, which incidentally is very active in his Benaulim constituency. At the zilla panchayat election held in December 2020, the AAP candidate won in Benaulim.

Responding to Kejriwal's statement in Goa that it was the Delhi Development Authority under the Centre which demolished the church, Churchill said the Delhi CM should either have control over his administration or quit the office. When pointed out that the demolition was carried out on the orders of the high court of Delhi, he said, "If, in Goa, then CM Digambar Kamat could save a star hotel from the demolition orders of the Supreme Court, why could Kejriwal not save the church?" he said.
