Mangaluru: St Agnes PU College holds 'Van Mahotsav Week 2021" forest conservation awareness campaign

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jul 10: St Agnes PU College organised an awareness campaign called 'Van Mahotsav Week 2021' for all its students and faculty.

Van Mahotsav Week 2021 is a public awareness programme aimed at today's young people. By participating in large numbers, students and faculty exhibited their passion and love for nature.

Every day a theme was specified and participants were asked to plant a sapling depending on the theme. The students learnt about the different types of plants and their benefits. They also realised that just planting a sapling is not enough; they need to care for it on a daily basis and see that it grows.

Commemorate the occasion, students along with family members and faculty of the college planted seven varieties of plants. It was indeed a joyful event for all.
