Panaji, Jul 8: Both doses of Covid 19 vaccination will be given to all eligible people of the state by the end of October according to the information given by CM Pramod Sawant. In addition, he also said that the government is considering of making the vaccination compulsory for those who have not yet taken the same.

Till now, 10 lac people are vaccinated in the state. Right now, around 8 lac people have taken the first dose which is roughly 76% of the total population. The first dose will be administered to everyone in the state by July 30.

The CM said that their priority now is to administer the first dose in the next 15 days to the remaining 24% of the population who have still not taken the same. He also said that government officials are asked to identify those who have not yet taken the first dose.

To a question from reporters on beginning tourism activities after October 30, Sawant said that he has said so earlier, but the government will look into the opening of tourism after the total population of the state gets at least one dose of vaccine.
