Mangaluru, Jul 5: 'I can, I will bring a smile to nature'

“Trees exhale for us so that we can inhale them to stay alive. Can we forget that? Let us love trees with every breath we take until we perish” said well-known writer Munia Khan.

Vanamahotsav is a most celebrated festival of planting saplings. It is a week-long celebration dedicated to mother earth in order to protect our life support system on the planet. Celebrated from July 1 through July 7 a week-long Mahotsav, aims at diverting attention towards big issues related tothe environment.

St Agnes School believes in encouraging and guiding the students and the teachers to the path of recovery and well-being. The school has shown great care towards the environment and ensured every space speaks nature. The same values and thoughts have focused the students and the teachers to be creative towards mother nature. The school has always supported to become earth's angels.

Plant a little love, watch a miracle grow, each root of a plant is a path to our lives. Act now, It is never too late.

On the auspicious occasion of celebrating the green space, various activities were entrusted to the students and the teachers. The creativity and enthusiasm in depicting the garden bloom has shown there is only one earth, time to save it.

The following activities were conducted for the students and the teachers:

Grade 1and2  – Saplings with my family
Grade 3 and 4 - Selfie with my garden
Grade 5 and 6 - I grow my medicinal plant
Grade 7 and 8 – Painting pots or poster drawing depicting nature
Grade 9 and 10 – Creative photo with nature
Teachers - Creative photography with nature
                           Selfie with my garden
                           My vegetable/herbal garden.
