Media Release

Mangaluru, Jul 3: Early education brings a positive outcome in the life of a child. What children learn in their early years will continue to help them all along with their life in the real world. Kindergarten graduation is an exciting milestone for many – the child, parents, caregivers, teachers, management and everyone who works to add value to a child’s life. It is the first step the little ones take towards a future full of hopes and possibilities. It also showcases the tireless efforts of the Montessori teachers in nurturing and grooming these tiny tots.

The Yenepoya School organized the graduation ceremony for the young and enthusiastic learners of the Montessori section on July 3. The celebration commenced with the invocation of God’s blessings by the Montessori teachers with a prayer song. The principal Grace Noronha addressed the gathering and extended a warm welcome to all who helped make this day possible. The significance of this special occasion was highlighted by Zeena Almeida.

This was followed by the release of balloons to commemorate this joyous occasion. The liasion coordinator, Yvette Pereira introduced the chief guest, Fr Dr Ravi Santosh Kamath, an eminent Jesuit priest and theologian. He addressed the gathering and emphasised that little children are a gift from God and elaborated how the education of children has grown over the years and the ingenuity of the Montessori system. He highlighted how little children open-heartedly respond to learning and praised the school for setting up a positive learning environment for these young minds.

The celebration was followed by a display of talents by the graduating students and the teachers of the Montessori section. Subsequently, the campus director, Mishria Javeed, enlightened everybody with her invigorating words. Her advice was not to be disheartened by the events leading to this virtual celebration instead of a physical one, rather stay motivated to help nurture these little ones to the best of their abilities. Parent representatives expressed their gratitude to the school and the teachers for instilling the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their careers through the varied spectrum of activities.

The programme culminated with the vote of thanks delivered by the coordinator, Spoorthi Hegde and the singing of the school anthem by all.

The entire virtual graduation ceremony was anchored by the vice-principal Jacintha D'Costa in style.
