Mangaluru: Free Covid vaccination camp held at Srinivas Institute of Technology

Mangaluru, Jul 3: A free covid vaccination camp was held on July 2 at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, here, under the aegis of national service project, Red Cross in association with the district health and family welfare department and Adyar primary health centre.

Srinivas Institute principal Dr Srinivas Mayya D setting in motion the camp called on the teaching and non-teaching staff and students to get vaccinated to defeat the pandemic.

The camp was conducted under the leadership of Adyar Primary Health Centre medical officer Dr Samanvita in association with Dr Mariam Rashida, primary health centre staff Ahmed Sharif and Asha worker Vinoda.

The principal congratulated the district health and family welfare department, Adyar Primary Health Centre officers and staff for having successfully held the camp. More than 300 vaccines were given as the first dose to teaching and non-teaching staff and students.

Heads of various departments in the college, NSS division convener Rakesh Mallya, Tony Sebastian, Red Cross unit convener Vivek Vijay, college professors and staff cooperated in the camp.
