Belagavi, Jun 25: Former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, who has returned from a four-day Mumbai visit to Gokak, is expected to travel to Mysuru by a special flight on Friday June 25.

Sources say that Jarkiholi will directly go to Suttur Mutt and hold talks with the Suttur Swamiji at Mysuru. They added that Jarkiholi, who rocked the government led by the Congress-JD(S) coalition in the state and catapulted BJP to power, in all likelihood, will announce his resignation as legislator from the Mutt premises.

Jarkiholi had tried to coax the central leadership of the BJP through former Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, to admit him back into the Karnataka cabinet. It is said that the response for his demand was not encouraging. Therefore, Jarkiholi has decided to visit Mysuru and quit as MLA.

It could not be determined why he plans to meet the Suttur Swamiji before announcing his resignation. Reportedly, he will be accompanied by brother Lakhan, and son-in-law Ambirao Patil.
