Udupi JD(S) members hold protest against price hike

Udupi, Jun 24: Party workers of JD(S) staged a protest against the BJP-led union and state governments for hiking fuel price and electricity tariff, in front of the DC Office, here, on Thursday June 24.

Speaking on the occasion, JD(S) district president Yogish Shetty said, "The ruling governments have made common man's life miserable for political gains. If the government had taken the necessary measures to contain the spread of Covid-19, the life of people would have been saved from Covid-19. People are facing the problem, as the government has hiked the fuel prices. The government should lower the prices of fuel or else go home by tendering resignation. The people will bring another government."

Protestors raised slogans against the BJP-led union and state governments.

Later, protestors also submitted a memorandum to the additional DC, Sadashiva Prabhu.

District secretary Jayaram Acharaya, Gangadhar Birthi, Mansoor Ibrahim, Jayakumar Parkala, Prakash Shetty took part in the protest.

    Before BJP Govt. Almost every week there was Dharna everywhere specially opposite DC office for price hike for essential and PATROL. BUT WHEN BJP CAME TONPOWER NOT A SINGKE BJP PERSON GO FOR DHARNA why this duel policy, Madam also very quite now.
