Mangaluru, Jun 23: Taking a dig at BJP district president Kuilady Suresh Nayak, the District Congress Committee president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor said, " BJP president Kuilady Suresh Nayak who is speaking about sendin Vinay Kumar Sorake back to Puttur, should remember that MP Shobha Karandlaje is also from Puttur."

Speaking in a press meet, Ashok Kumar said, "The word 'senior leaders are targets' will not bring pride to him. The death of Dr V S Acharaya was condoled at the Congress office. This is a symbol of harmonious competition. We will not practice politics in anyone's death. From where did D V Sadananda come from? The MLA here is also from that part. We have considered him a citizen of India without any discrimination. For the past 21 years, Sorake is residing here."

He also said Dakshina Kannada in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary is from Udupi. Sorake responded to the problems of the people during the pandemic. Congress workers have toiled to cremate dead bodies without any discrimination.

"Kuilady is an aspirant from Kaup constituency, thus, he is speaking that way," he alleged.

"When BJP leaders failed to visit the house of Yedamoge BJP leader Uday Ganiga's house after his death, Congress leaders Gopal Poojary and Vinay Kumar Sorake visited his house. But, BJP leader Kuilady had termed it as politics on the part of the Congress leaders visiting Ganiga's house."

KPCC panelist Veronica Cornelio, spokesperson Bhaskar Raj Kidiyur, Keerthi Shetty, Harish Shetty, Prashanth Jathanna, Roshan Shetty and others were present.
