Mangalurean Ashish Noronha receives PhD from Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel

Mangaluru, Jun 22: Ashish Noronha, a Mangalurean, has received PhD from a well-known institute in Israel.

He is the son of Narayana H and Olivia Noronha residing at ‘Oshin’ in Mangaluru.

Ashish has been conferred a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cancer Biology from the department of Biological Regulation at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel.

His study was focused on identifying the mechanisms of resistance in lung cancer patients, entitled ‘AXL-dependent regulation of adaptive mutability and de novo purine synthesis in EGFR mutated lung cancer’.
