Mangaluru, Jun 21: Mount Carmel Central School celebrated the International Yoga Day virtually on June 21 on the theme 'Yoga for well-being', much relevant for our times in a society still recovering from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The programme began with a prayer service, followed by significance of the day. A few students demonstrated some yogasanas, explaining briefly their health benefits.

Yoga is the rhythm of our breath creating inner harmony and spirituality in our body and mind.

The school observed the significant role of yoga, allowing it to rejuvenate the students' life and to lead them to a healthier lifestyle. Students from different sections and classes of the school practiced yoga showcasing their physical strength and mental resilience.
