Kundapur: SCDCC Bank donates food kits to journalists

Kundapur, Jun 18: “The part played by journalists in creating awareness on containing Covid-19 is important. SCDCC Bank is donating food kits to journalists at this juncture for moral support that we are with them,” said SCDCC Bank director S Raju Poojary.

He addressed a gathering after donating food kits to journalists at SCDCC Kundapur branch on June 18.

Udupi district working journalist’s association president, Rajesh Shetty congratulated the bank officials for their noble gesture. “The journalists association succeeded in getting the journalists vaccinated. Efforts for a Patrika Bhavan in Kundapur are in progress. The association is trying to help journalists who are in distress due to coronavirus,” he said.

Kundapur taluk working journalist’s association president Shashidhar Hemmadi said that the bank had also donated food kits to the journalists during the first Coronavirus wave.

Association vice president Vinay Pais, Kundapur taluk journalist’s association secretary Nagaraja Rayappanamata were present.

SCDCC Bank Kundapur branch’s Chandrashekar Shetty welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.

Udupi journalist’s association members holding state association’s identity cards were provided food kits.
