Apex Court Issues Notice to Rama Raju on Bail


New Delhi, Aug 30 (IANS): The Supreme Court Monday issued notice to B. Rama Raju and four others involved in Satyam scam as to why their bail should not be cancelled.

Rama Raju is the brother of Satyam founder and chairperson B. Ramalinga Raju.

The apex court bench of Justice Dalveer Bhandari and Justice Deepak Verma issued the notice after Solicitor General Gopal Subramanium told the court the five accused could derail the trial by influencing 230 witnesses.

All the five were granted bail by the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
