Panaji, Jun 17: Schools should conduct an online examination for students of grade 10, who have not answered the practical exams for the 2021 batch and then tabulate the marks. This instruction is given by the Goa board.

Exams of grade 10 were cancelled due to the Covid pandemic. Now the results are being tabulated based on the internal marks scored by the students as well as the marks they scored in previous academic years.

The Goa board in its instructions to the schools said that if a regular or special need child has not appeared for practical exams due to certain reasons, the same should be conducted online or based on the internal marks scored by the concerned student.

The students who had withdrawn their applications for grade 10 can write the supplementary examinations. CWSN referring average, if not available should be included based on the performance of other candidates in the class. If the subject offered in grade 10 is not available in grade 9 then the average mark of the similar subject to be taken into consideration. The board has also asked the schools to give more weightage to marks scored by the student in grade 9 while tabulating the result.

According to the board if any student has taken only two languages in class 9 then the average of two languages to be considered as the score for the third language in grade 10. In the case of mathematics levels 1 and 2, the marks of both levels have to be added and compared with level 1 reference average.
