B'luru: Renowned Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay critically injured in accident, admitted to ICU

Bengaluru, Jun 13: National award-winning Kannada film actor Sanchari Vijay was critically injured in a road accident on Saturday, June 12. He has been admitted to Apollo hospital on Bannerghatta Rd here. As he has suffered injuries on his head and right thigh, he is undergoing treatment in the ICU.

He is said to be critically injured on the right side of his brain during the accident. The accident occurred when he was on a trip with his friend Naveen. It is said that the brakes of his bike failed when he was near JP Nagar 7th stage. His friend Naveen who is also injured is admitted to the hospital.

The accident reportedly occurred at 11 pm on June 12. Further details of the accident were not available.

Sanchari Vijay had received a national award for his film ‘Nanu Avanalla Avalu’. He has acted in several films including Oggarange, Krishna Tulasi, Villain, Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu, Killing Veerappan, Allama and others. He has also acted in several Tamil films.
