Mangaluru: Covid vaccination drive held at MCC Bank Ltd

Mangaluru, Jun 12: Banks are considered as one of the essential sector and during this pandemic banks have worked throughout and given their utmost service to the people. Considering as one of the essential sector vaccination drive was held for all the bankers on 12 June 2021 at MCC Bank admin building.

The drive began with a small formal programme. Chief guest for the inauguration was MangaluruCity Corporation (MCC) mayor Premanand Shetty and deputy district health officer, Dr Rajesh. The drive was inaugurated by the lighting the lamp.

Mayor addressing the gathering lauded the organisers for organising such a needful drive.He mentioned that banks are considered as essential sectors and the employees are warriors rendering their services to the people. He wished everyone good luck.

Dr Rajesh speaking during the occasion told that COVID-19 vaccination is one of the largest vaccination drive in world. Taking vaccine will help us to remain safe and will help us to fight against the pandemic. He mentioned the benefits of the vaccine and urged the people to remain positive. Small pox was eradicated in the same way lets fight to eradicate COVID-19 which will be fruitful very soon.

The first shot of the drive was administered to DGM of Mcc Bank Ltd Mr Raj Menezes.

The medical team consisted of Medical officer’s Dr Soujanya and Dr Raihan, staff nurses Sunitha and Shashikala, and  pharmacists Shobha Asha and Safnaz.

Anil Lobo, chairman, MCC Bank Ltd, Harish Acharya, chairman Vishwakarma Co-op Bank, Praveen Kumar, lead bank in-charge, Chitharanjan, president of Athma Shakthi Multi Purpose Co-Operative Ltd, were present during the occasion.

Credit manager of MCC Bank Ltd, Deril Lasrado compered the programme. Nearly 400 employees of various banks and co-operative societies were administered with Covishield vaccine.
