Mangaluru: Milagres College celebrates virtual World Environment Day

Mangaluru, Jun 12: National Service Scheme in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell organised World Environment Day with the theme ‘Ecosystem Restoration’ on June 5.

Fr Micahel L Santhumayor, principal spoke on the occasion. He explained about the role of environment and its impact on mankind. He emphasized protection and preserving nature is the need of the hour, all the volunteers were requested to grow at least one plant in their premises, which in turn would be a necessity for future.

Denzil Edrod Pinto, NSS programme officer, welcomed and introduced about the theme of World Environment Day 2021.

Namitha K, assistant programme officer, proposed vote of thanks. Total of 59 volunteers actively participated in the virtual programme.
