Bantwal, Jun 11: The construction of a new house for Nagamajji, a resident of Jarandagudde, near Brahmarakudlu, Kallige gram, here, was set in motion on Friday.

The religious rituals were held in the morning and the groundbreaking was held subsequent to it. JCI Bantwal president Umesh R Mallya, former president Sadananda Bangera, secretary Roshan Rai, local panchayat member Manoj, locals Manoj Kanapadi, owner of the house Nagamma Poojarthi and others were present.

Nagamajji and her family members lived in an old and feeble house that was about to fall. Like-minded local groups who saw her pitiable condition decided to construct a house for her with the help of donors.
