Bengaluru, Jun 11: The special investigation team entrusted with probing the sleaze CD involving former minister, Ramesh Jarkiholi, will soon be filing a charge sheet in the court.

Sources said that former media persons, Naresh Gowda, Shravan and others will be named as accused in the charge sheet. Naresh and Shravan are accused of blackmailing Jarkiholi.

The court had granted anticipatory bail to Naresh and Shravan recently. At the same time, Jarkiholi has confessed that sex between the two was consensual. He told the SIT that no force was used. He also has said that on the basis of the said CD he was blackmailed to pay money. SIT may also name the aggrieved lady as an accused along with others, it is said.

In the meantime, SIT chief Soumendu Mukherjee, has proceeded on leave. A senior police officer, reacting to this, said that Soumendu had gone on leave in the past too and there is nothing unique in him going on leave.
