Mangalore, Aug 20: Malikayil Mohammed Kunhi, a resident of Kasargod, was arrested by the emigration officials at the local airport on his arrival from Dubai on Thursday August 19 morning. He has been accused of using a fake passport for his journey.

It was found that Kunhi had used a passport standing in the name of Abdul Basheer for travel by pasting his own photograph. On interrogation, he revealed that Ukkas from Kasargod Kadappuram had provided this fake passport to him. Even though the officials at Dubai airport failed to notice it, the officials here succeeded in finding out that the passport was fake.

He has been handed over to Bajpe police station. Investigations are on.
