Panaji: Heavy rain forces vaccination centre to shift

Daijiworld Media Network - Panaji

Panaji, May 20: The Covid-19 vaccination centre at the Candolim football ground was forced to be shifted to the residence of Nandan Kudchadkar on the Candolim-Fort Aguada due to the heavy rains.

Dr Roshan Nazareth, medical officer at the Candolim primary health centre (PHC) said they had to shift the vaccination centre from the ground because of the sudden rain on Sunday and the approaching monsoon.

While the clubhouse at the ground level was used as the vaccination centre, people coming to get vaccinated would await their turn while sitting in a temporary pandal set up on the ground to maintain social distancing.
