Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (MS)

Bantwal, May 18: Mani gram panchayat (GP), which saw the plight of villagers finding it difficult to carry ration shop items to their home, has begun free auto rickshaw service. Public has lauded this model, people-friendly service by the gram panchayat.

It is said that villagers carry ration items on their head from Mani society to far off places as there is no auto rickshaw facility during lockdown time. This used to cause inconvenience to the public.

Now the panchayat has arranged two auto rickshaws for the villagers to transport their ration items to home. Panchayat is also mulling of increasing this number of auto rickshaws to four. On the whole the villagers have really appreciated the people-friendly step taken by the gram panchayat.
