Puttur, May 18: After a lorry and scooter got involved in a collision on Monday May 17 morning, the scooter rider died on the spot. The accident happened at Tenkila on the bypass road of the city.
The deceased was Satyanarayana Bhat Kodibail (55), founder of Kodibail Agricultural Equipment Agency. He was going to his office at Puttur from his house when a lorry which came from the opposite direction hit him.
Bhat was active in social and religious fields in the Bellare area and had introduced several agricultural equipment and implements through his agency. He had several branches. He also was a leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and was an active member of several organizations and institutions. He is survived by wife and two sons.
