Bantwal: TP member hit with cane - People take police to task

Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal (SP)

Bantwal, May 14: The people in Kalladka objected to the police, duly alleging that an assistant sub-inspector had hit a taluk panchayat member with his lathi.

The police were instructing to close down the shops at Kalladka at 9 am on Friday May 14. At that time, a taluk panchayat member who was walking towards a medical shop after parking his car was allegedly hit by an assistant sub-inspector of police. The taluk panchayat member and locals took the police to task, alleging that a personnel of the town station here had hit him even though he was there to buy essentials. The arguments went on for some time.

Bantwal town station sub-inspector, Avinash, came there sometime later and saw to it that the issue was sorted out amicably.
