Bantwal: MLA Rajesh Naik asks officials to work swiftly in identifying Covid infected people

Bantwal, May 12: “Identifying the primary contacts of the Covid infected people is the first step to control its spread. It is not right to stumble in it. The responsibility should be properly managed,” said Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulipadiguthu.

He was speaking in the task force committee meeting held at Ammunje gram panchayat on Wednesday. “Out of 35 positive cases in the panchayat limits, 27 are active. 24 people are getting treatment at their residences and four are in the hospital. Identifying only 35 persons as primary contacts in 35 cases is not satisfactory progress. Work swiftly,” he said to the teachers.

“There should be no discrimination while administering vaccines. Everybody should realize their responsibilities and work. Everybody in the task force committee should get vaccinated. Those who are getting vaccinated for the first time should register in advance,” he said.

Bantwal tahsildar Rashmi S R said, “The government is bound to provide the second vaccine to those who have received the first. People need not be anxious,” she said.

Taluk panchayat executive officer Rajanna said that the task force committee should work tirelessly to contain infection and make sure that Covid protocol is not violated.
