NSUI files 'missing person' report with police on Amit Shah

New Delhi, May 12 (IANS): The National Students Union of India (NSUI) has filed a ‘missing person report against Union Hone Minister Amit Shah with the Delhi Police, over the ‘disappearance of the country's Home Minister at the time of the pandemic.

NSUI general secretary Nagesh Kariyappa filed the complaint against Shah with the Parliament Street police station.

Kariyappa said that politicians are supposed to serve the nation, and not run away from a crisis situation.

He said that when the country is suffering from a deadly pandemic and the citizens are facing a crisis, it is the duty of the politicians to be accountable, not only towards the government of India or the BJP, but also towards the people of the country.

NSUI national secretary and in-charge of its media and communication wing, Lokesh Chugh, said that until 2013, the politicians were responsible towards the citizens, but things changed totally after the BJP came to power in 2014, and now the ‘second person in command' in the Central government is ‘missing' amid the pandemic.

Chugh alleged that when people need the government to take care of them, its office-bearers are nowhere to be seen.

Meanwhile, Kariyappa also said that the entire country is suffering from a disastrous pandemic and all that the people need now is the government to support the citizens and be answerable for its deeds.

The current government has failed to do so and as a result the NSUI has filed a missing person complaint against the Home Minister, and is waiting for the government to answer to its people, Kariyappa added.

Dont worry. Some day he will come out of the hiding. The day Covid stops he will come out to claim that his Govt tackled Covid successfully. The efforts taken by so many warriers will not go in vain. Sooner or later, there will be some relief. That is the time he will show up saying that his Govt did a fantastic job.

@ NSUI, It is quite unfair to say Amitji is missing..... When you do a high decibel campaign and get a severe drubbing in the elections: that too after spending so much of money, it is quite natural for anyone to take rest for few days to revive the lost energy and regain the mental frame of mind.... Please don't call it hiding or missing..... Anyhow there is nothing the country has to lose due to his absence, on the contrary it would be much more peaceful..... Please withdraw the complaint 😀😀

Opposition works as per the constitution while BJP govt works against the constitution. If you have eyes you can see fear and panic as our union home minister who is responsible for law and order has run away out of fear and panic.

He is working 24/7... Not like some cheap leaders whose only job is to tweet and be in the media. Given the enormity of the problem, oppn should join govt in rescuing country. But our oppn only believes in spreading fear and panic.

Entire lot of government ministers have gone underground - they just pop their heads out of the sand once in 30 days to check if the situation has normalised on its own . Haven't seen a more policy and action paralysed government since 1947.
