‘Kanasu Maratakkide’ bags 11th Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award

Mangaluru, May 6: ‘Kanasu Maratakkide’, a film directed by Smithesh S Barya bagged the 11th Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award, recently.

Smithesh S Barya speaking to the media informed that along with films of other countries from Kannada, Kanasu Mararakkide movie got selected for the festival. Every year the film festival award will be held in Delhi. But, this time, due to Covid-19, the award was announced online.

The movie is presented by Pashana Murthy Cine Creations. Santhosh Acharya handled the cinematography for the movie. Prajnesh Shetty, Swastika Poojary, and Navya Poojary played the lead roles. The movie is produced by Shivakumar and music composed by Manasa Holla.
