Bantwal, May 5: “Keep a note of people arriving from outside the villages. Identify the primary and secondary contacts of those who have tested positive and have them undergo tests. Locate those who haven't been vaccinated and get them inoculated at government health centres,” said Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik to the gram panchayat task force committee. He was speaking in a local task force committee meeting held at Sarapady, Maninalkur and Uli gram panchayats.

Tahsildar Rashmi S R stressed the need to prevent confusion in the distribution of ration in the respective gram panchayats.

Taluk panchayat executive officer Rajanna suggested holding a task force meeting once a week. Sarapady gram panchayat member N Dhananjay said that vegetable vendors and fish sellers in vehicles arrive in the village bearing the registration number of other districts. 

Maninalkur gram panchayat member Purushotham Poojary asked to issue orders for people to not gather unnecessarily in front of shops. Uli gram panchayat member Vasanth suggested improving quarantine facilities.

Taluk panchayat vice president, Abbas Ali, Bantwal revenue inspector, Navin Benjanapadavu, BUDA president, Devadas Shetty, flying squad officer, Chennakeshava Murthy, Sarapady gram panchayat president, Leelavati Darnappa, vice president, Nalini, development officer, Sylvia Fernandes, Maninalkur gram panchayat president, Nagaveni, vice president Geeta Ariappadi, development officer, Vasanti, Uli gram panchayat president, Suresh Maira, vice president, Chidananda Rai, development officer, Sridhar, respective gram panchayat members and task force committee members were present.

    Whoever wants will take the vaccine, when available. Do not set up your own procedures and allow hooligans to jump around. Keeping an eye on Indians coming from other districts can be done by the administration.

    One shouldnt make a military action if someone comes out of that village.Instead please keep yourself to rules before you check others.Of course can be asked or check if someone who goes against rules.
