Bantwal, May 5: Kanyana gram panchayat has requested people to strictly follow Covid guidelines. Grocery shops, milk and stores selling essential commodities are permitted to run business only till 10 am. Milk parlour and APMC vegetable shops are permitted to operate till 12 pm. There are no restrictions for pharmacies and diagnostic centres. Customers have to compulsorily wear masks and maintain social distance failing which legal action will be taken.

Vittal police will place barricades on four roads from May 6, informed Vittal SI Vinod Reddy. People are arriving at the market unnecessarily. Police inspected vehicles on the four roads and imposed fines on commuters in the last few days.

The police department will install a check post near the government bus stand on Kasargod road, Bobbekeri and country office on Salethur road. People will be allowed to pass only after they produced Aadhaar cards.
