Help India in hour of crisis, says British MP Dhesi

Chandigarh, Apr 28 (IANS): India-origin Labour MP in Britain, Tan Dhesi, has urged his government to help India as Covid-19 situation worsened.

"Many are extremely anxious about loved ones in India, terrified after seeing the apocalyptic scenes of people dying on the streets for want of oxygen, a collapsing health system, and crematoriums and cemeteries overwhelmed with thousands of people dying everyday," he said in the House of Commons.

In an Urgent Question on this matter, the MP for Slough highlighted to Foreign Office Minister Nigel Adams the need for the UK to take the lead and help the Indian people in their hour of need, considering India is registering the highest ever Covid cases globally.

Sir with due respect to your concern about your/our mother land ,we too feel a lot for our brothers/sisters.Dont you think ,one way self our Ministers;MLAs there cause to this horror?Do anyone listen and carryout the laws ,rules properly? Many do as a uneducated. And villagers we can excuse. They dont know exactly virus and this and that. They are worried about their loan, food ,work first.Ministers give permission for mass marriages,no vaccination right time, some hide medicine and oxygen and sell later to a higher price. They simply play with lives of poor.Rich can afford. Not even a ambulance for poor to transport a dead body. One doctor send a suffering woman last minute to CT .than give her oxygen .when she came back from ct,is dead.Absolute chaos in India. In the middle of this chaos ,our PM is making election propaganda. How do you feel?well we want help India like you .Good decision.Hope our help from here may not go into unknown funds instead of helping most needed people.Thank you.
