Bengaluru: Piyush Goyal announces metro rail projects Phase 2A, 2B at Rs 14,788 crore

Bengaluru, Apr 20: Union railway minister Piyush Goyal has announced the approval from the Government of India for the Phase IIA work of the Bengaluru Metro Rail Project from Central Silk Board Junction to Krishnarajapuram and Phase 2B from KR Puram to airport via Hebbal Junction involving a total length 58 km.

The total completion cost of the project is Rs 14,788 crore, the minister said.

Piyush Goyal Office (@PiyushGoyalOffc) Tweeted: "The Govt has approved Bangalore Metro Rail Project Phase 2A from Central Silk Board Junction to K.R. Puram and Phase 2B from K.R. Puram to Airport via Hebbal Junction of total length 58 km. The total completion cost of the project is ?14,788 Crore: @PiyushGoyal."
