Udupi: Dist Muslim Federation urges community members to follow coronavirus guidelines in mosques

Udupi, Apr 20: District Muslim Federation appealed to its community members to follow covid guidelines order of district administration and state government in the wake of preventing the spread of the covid pandemic second wave in the state.

In a press statement, Ibrahim Saheb Kota, district president of the federation said, "Once more Covid-19 pandemic is in front of us. We all have the responsibility of taking precautions like before. We can prevent the spread of covid second wave by following covid guidelines strictly in mosques during the holy month of Ramzan.

"Jamat committee of respective mosques and volunteers should check the temperature of people who arrive at mosques to offer namaz, ensure the wearing of face mask, use of hand sanitizers and distance between Musallam and the public offering the namaz. Elderly people and children should offer namaz at home. Muslims should cooperate with the supervisors of mosques and hold a simple and healthy holy month of Ramzan."
