Beltangady: Collision of motorbikes accounts for a life

Beltangady, Apr 20: After two motorcycles collided, one of the riders breathed his last when being taken to hospital. This incident happened at Uruvalu Padavu in Beltangady taluk on the night of Monday April 19.

The name of the deceased has been given as Rajesh (30). Pillion rider, Purandar, and rider of the other bike, Shaffi, have survived with critical injuries. They are being treated in a hospital at Puttur.

Rajesh was riding his bike towards Bandaru from the direction of Kuppetty when it collided with a bike driven from the opposite direction by Shaffi head-on the curve next to Uruvalu mosque. All the three fell to the road and they were immediately taken to hospital. Rajesh passed away on the road. Purandar has suffered serious injury to his head.
