Udupi: Holding examinations for VTU students now is dangerous – CFI Karnataka

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (JS/EP)

Udupi, Apr 19: “The government has completely failed to control the second wave of coronavirus. The situation is likely to go out of hand. The highest numbers of coronavirus cases are being reported from Bengaluru, the state capital. Proceeding to hold examinations by Vishweshwaraya Technological University in this critical situation is a dangerous development,” opined Campus Front of India, Karnataka state committee.

“It is risky for students to travel from various places, gather at a place and write the examinations when corona is going out of control everywhere in the state. Students are unable to travel because of the strike by government public transport workers. Several educational institutes have postponed the examinations considering the situation. The VTU should postpone the examinations that are planned for April 19 and ensure the safety of students,” urged Campus Front of India, state secretary Althaf Hosapete.
