Mangaluru, Apr 18: Renowned Tulu cinema director Raghu Shetty succumbed to heart attack on Saturday April 17 evening. He was 42.

Shetty, who had taken ill, was admitted into a private hospital in the city.

Shetty had been lavishly appreciated for the directorial skills he exhibited in Tulu movie, 'Arjun weds Amrita'.

Currently, he was directing certain Kannada movies but did not live long enough to see them hitting the silver screen.

Born in a Bunt family in Moodbidri on September 1, 1979, Raghu Shetty was raised in Hubballi where his father was a businessman. After his schooling there, he pursued education at Mahaveer College in Moodbidri. Passionate about movies from a young age, he developed his directoral skills in Bengaluru.

Shetty, one of the most best directors the Tulu filmdom has seen, had the ambition to direct more movies. In his untimely death, Coastalwood has lost a brilliant movie director, whose exit has left a huge void.
