Kasargod, Apr 17: As the cases of Covid-19 looming in the state, the district administration is planning to restrict the entry of the public in prominent towns and business centers in the district. People will be allowed Covid-19 negative reports and those who have undergone a second dose of Covid-19 vaccination.

The decision was taken during the District Disaster Management Authority meeting presided by district collector Dr D Sajith Babu.

The district administration had planned to implement the restriction on entry from next Monday, but to due administrative reasons, it is been postponed to Saturday April 24 from 8 am.

The officials decided to postpone the strict restriction to April 24, so that people and the stakeholders in the district need not be confused. Thus, the administration has given a week’s time. This order will be implemented in the towns of Kumbla, Uppala, Kasargod, Kanhangad, Neeleshwara, Chervathoru, and other places.

In these places, police will hold inspections. Covid test and vaccination will be held in these towns.
