Udupi, Apr 15: Udupi District Working Journalists' Association in association with Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Udupi distributed food kits to the needy newspaper distributors in an event held at Udupi Patrika Bhavan on Thursday.
Udupi deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh handed over the food kits to 40 beneficiaries. District Working Journalists' Association president Alevoor Rajesh Shetty presided over the programme.
District assistant director of the department of information, Manjunath N, head of Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Udupi, Hafiz Rehman, guest relation manager, Raghavendra Nayak, Tanzeem Shirva and press club convenor, Subhash Chandra Vagle were present.
Association chief secretary, Nazeer Polya welcomed the gathering. Treasurer Umesh Marpalli rendered the vote of thanks. Chetan Matapadi compered the programme.
