Mangaluru: Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao felicitated for honorary doctorate

Mangaluru, Apr 12: The vice-chancellor along with other members of Srinivas University, Srinivas Group of Colleges, Hotel Srinvas, Udupi Krishna Bhavan and Raghavendra Rao and Associates organised a felicitation programme for Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, who was recently awarded an honorary doctorate.

Speaking on the occasion, the vice-chancellor, Dr P S Aithal traced the genesis of Srinivas Group from its humble beginnings to what it is today. He stressed that the honour bestowed on Dr A Raghavendra Rao is a validation of his commitment to excellence in his professional life as a Chartered Accountant as well as the builder of the institution which have stood the test of time.

  

The pro-chancellor said that this award reflects society’s recognition of the hard work that has gone into building an asset for the future of the country. He said that Dr A Raghavendra Rao always strained beyond himself to ensure that nothing but the best should be available at all the institutions that he established.

On the occasion, Dr A Raghavendra Rao was offered a traditional shawl and petta by the vice-chancellor and other officials. Speaking on the occasion, Dr A Raghavendra Rao said that his achievements are a reflection of the people who worked shoulder to shoulder with him and the honour is a recognition of the selfless teamwork of the employees. He announced that he would like to expand the horizons of the university beyond Mangaluru in the coming days.

The programme ended after the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Ajay K G.
