Byndoor, Apr 12: "Chaos is prevailing among the party workers in the wake of a statement given by BJP district secretary Sadananda Uppinakudru at a press conference that was held by him at Kollur on Friday wherein Sadananda Uppinakudru accused that BJP MLA B M Sukumara Shetty threatened him as well as mentally tortured him. Later MLA Sukumara Shetty clarified this subject. Opposition parties are trying to take mileage out of this incident. Due to this reason and also due to the humanitarian compassion towards the family of Sadananda, MLA Sukumara Shetty decided to withdraw the cheque bounce case that is registered against Sadananda," said Deepak Kumar Shetty, Byndoor Mandala BJP president.

Deepak was speaking at a press conference organized at the party office here on Sunday. He further said, "BJP is a disciplined party. Seniors and juniors in this party are like members of one family. This development has taken place due to a momentary burst of anger. District leaders of the party have also advised not to take this further.

"This incident is a closed chapter now. Office bearers of Mandala should not give any statement in this regard, without the permission of district BJP leaders, on social sites or media. Such an act will be considered a serious violation.

"Byndoor is a stronghold of BJP. It has got the support of dedicated party workers. Our opposition parties should understand that BJP will be united in the future also and will achieve historical victory in district and taluk panchayat elections."

District secretary Balachandra Bhat, Mandala chief secretary Priyadarshini Beskoor, secretary Prakasha Poojary, zilla panchayat member Shankara Poojary and taluk panchayat vice president Malini K were present.
