Bengaluru: KSRTC strike - Student pass holder seeks exorbitant compensation

Bengaluru, Apr 9: G Pavana, a student from Tumakuru, has served legal notice through her lawyer to the managing director of Bangalore Metro Transport Corporation (BMTC) seeking payment of compensation of ten lac rupees on account of strike by BMTC employees.

Pavana happens to be a student of JSS Academy of Technical Education, Kengeri here. She says that BMTC has failed to provide her bus service from the last two days because of the employees strike even though she holds a valid bus pass.

In the notice, she has sought the compensation from the managing director of BMTC and Kodihalli Chandrashekhar, president of the labour union who has given the call for the agitation.
