Kundapur: General council meeting held - Several issues discussed

Kundapur, Apr 7: The general meeting of the municipal council discussed various issues that are pending for a long time.

Chandrashekar Kharvi complained about the pending highway work. Navayug officer said that the highway will be open for traffic around April 15 to 20. Chandrashekar Kharvi questioned the increased in tax rates. Member Girish said that the members deserted the last meeting during discussions on tax.

Senior member Mohan Shenoy said that another meeting should be held to discuss tax issues taking opposition into confidence. Member Girish G K spoke about the parking problems in Kundapur. Council chief executive said that action will be taken on those who hang no parking boards on the roadside.

President Veena Bhaskar Mendon, vice president, Sandeep Kharvi, council chief executive, Gopalakrishna Shetty and members were present.
