Udupi: KSISF's 12th batch’s passing out parade held

Udupi, Apr 7: The passing out parade of the 12th batch of Karnataka State Industrial Security Force (KSISF) was held at Chandu Maidan here on Wednesday April 7.

About 95 police candidates from various parts of the state successfully completed their training at Udupi district police training school.

District commissioner (DC) G Jagadeesha, the chief guest of the function, received the guard of honour from the trainees. Parade commander Santhosh Kappalaguddi led the march fast.

In his address, the DC said, “May the trained candidates in KSISF put their best effort in protection of industries and strengthen the economy of the country as well.

“Many people change their mindset after joining the service. They should work the same way they dreamt of after joining the service. Parents play a crucial role in educating their children. They look proud to see their wards,” the DC said urging the trainees to look well after their parents.

“There are eleven duties in the Constitution. The tenth duty says, ‘Strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual’. That means one should find excellence in his job, then only he can achieve greatness in his service,” the DC added.

The national flag was brought by Nagbhushan APC 41 DAR Udupi and Sudhir Kumar Jain, APCC 46 DAR Udupi brought the police flag, accompanied by assistant police sub-inspector Santhosh S.

Raghavendra RDySP(army) and vice principal of police training school administered the oath to the trainees.

Additional superintendent of police Kumarchandra presented the annual report.

In the 12th batch, 95 candidates have obtained training in various subjects. There were two squads trained for KSISF, 21 in the first squad and 66 in the second squad.

Under the civil police force, two are from Bengaluru rural, one each from Bengaluru town, Belgaum, Mysuru, Tumakuru, Mandya and Udupi.

Training was given on law, role of police in modern India, psychology, police administration, computer education, disaster management, and wireless service and on few other topics.

Additional deputy commissioner Sadashiv Prabhu was present on the occasion.

District superintendent of police N Vishnuvardhan welcomed the gathering and Bharat Reddy, KSPS PI, rendered the vote of thanks.

K C Rajesh, assistant commandant, home guard squad, compared the programme.

Prize winners of various tests

Vishal Benachanamaradi emerged the winner of all-rounder trophy and bagged first prize in out-door tests. Santhosh Kappalaguddi and Saidusab Ramdurga received second and third prize respectively.

Aravinda GPC, Ashok Halabara and Maruthi Dhulannavar secured first, second and third prizes respectively in shooting test.

Mahesh M P, Manjinath Shingannavar and Shrikanth Manjappa secured first, second and third place respectively in indoor tests.
