Mangaluru: Beef sale in chicken center - Case registered against two

Mangaluru, Apr 7: On April 4, Bajpe police detected beef meat being sold at Salwa chicken center situated at Sooralpadi of Mooduperara village.

Around 23 kg of beef is confiscated during the raid conducted by the police on definite information.

A case is registered against accused Mohammed Shamir and Mohammed Shafiq and the Maruti Omni car that was used in the act is confiscated.

The incident came to light when Bajpe police ASI Raghavendra Naik raided the chicken stall. Police are suspecting that the cows might have been stolen from somewhere and slaughtered and sold in the stall.
