Kundapur: Spike in Covid cases - Gopadi village declared as containment zone

Kundapur, Apr 6: Amid a spike in Covid infections, the Gopadi village in Kundapur taluk has been declared as containment zone in a government order issued on Monday, April 4. The order further stated that a 100m radius from BCM Hostel in Gopadi village will be considered as a containment zone and a 200m radius from the said containment zone will be identified as a buffer zone.

For the effective implementation of Covid-19 preventive measures, the assistant commissioner of Kundapur sub-division, Raju KAS has been appointed as the incident commander, who will be the overall in-charge of the containment zone.

There are three houses in the containment zone with a population of nine people.

Meanwhile, the buffer zone has 45 houses, 20 shops, three offices, with a population of 140 people.
