Mangaluru: KMC Hospital Attavar to offer free BP, diabetes check-up for Covid vaccine beneficiaries

Mangaluru, Apr 6: To educate the public on the concept of preventive health care, and as guided by the World Health Organization, April 7 of each year marks the celebration of World Health Day. A healthy life needs good health. Good health, according to the World Health Organization, is a state of physical, emotional and social well-being.

The core theme of World Health Day 2021 is ‘Building a fairer, healthier world for everyone’. The Covid-19 pandemic has left the entire world traumatized. KMC Hospital Attavar as per the guidelines of the government is playing a key role in building a better and healthier world by vaccinating the citizens over 45 years of age against Covid-19. In this regard, to mark the celebration of World Health Day 2021, KMC Hospital Attavar is organizing a free BP and Diabetes Check-Up programme for Covid vaccine beneficiaries. The programme is organized on April 7 and 8 from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm at the Covid vaccination centre, 3rd floor of the hospital.

Interested citizens can register their names for receiving Covid vaccination at the Covid vaccination centre by paying a fee, which is fixed by the government, and then they will be eligible for complementary hypertension and diabetes screening. The hospital management has urged the public to make use of the above facility.
