Udupi: Bike, autorickshaw set on fire by miscreants in two different cases

Udupi, Apr 6: In the first case, unknown miscreants set fire to a Bajaj Discovery bike that was parked at the verandah of the house by Harish Kumar Bhat (42), resident of NGO Colony, Bailoor 76, Badagubettu village. This incident occurred on April 5 between 1 am and 2 am.

In his complaint, the complainant alleged that unknown miscreants locked the house from outside and set the bike on fire. The bike is completely gutted in the fire. The estimated loss is Rs 20,000.

A case in this regard is registered at the city police station.

In another incident, an autorickshaw was set afire by miscreants at the NGO Colony of Badagubettu village near Bailoor. The vehicle was parked as usual in front of the gate of Karim Manzil, the house of Abdul Rasheed (50), owner of the vehicle. This incident is also suspected to have taken place between 1 am to 2 am. The estimated loss in this incident is said to be Rs 2.25 lac.

A case in this regard is registered at Udupi city police station.
