Mangaluru: 25th annual day celebration of Catholic Sabha of Permannur church held

Mangaluru, Apr 6: The inaugural programme of the 25th annual day celebration of Catholic Sabha of St Sebastian church Permannur was held on April 4 at the campus of the church.

The programme started with a prayer song sung by Jyothi and team. President of Catholic Sabha Dolphy D'Souza welcomed the gathering. The logo for the 25th year was unveiled by Fr Cyprian Pinto, parish priest of the church, who also presided over the function.

Stany Lobo, president of Catholic Sabha Mangaluru was the chief guest. Rolphy D'Costa, the immediate past-president of Catholic Sabha Mangaluru, Allwyn J D'Souza, president of Mangaluru south zone, Sr Sevrine Fernandes, superior of Bethel Convent Permannur, Maurice Monteiro, vice-president of the parish council and Philomena D'Souza, secretary were present on the dais.

Convener Josline D'Souza did the introductory speech. Arun D'Souza rendered the vote of thanks. Janet Noronha, director of Konkani movie Sophiya, Esther Noronha, the lead actress of the movie, Denis D'Souza, who made commendable achievement in the political field and sponsor of Uchitha 124 Kannada Prashant D'Souza were felicitated on the occasion. Shirline D'Souza and Pramila D'Souza introduced the people who were felicitated on the occasion to the gathering.

Konkani movie Sophia was presented to the audience as part of the entertainment. Melwyn C D'Souza compered the event.
